About Amy and Wooden Spoons Alaska
My name is Amy Nicolaisen and I am thrilled to be the new owner of Wooden Spoons Alaska, a catering company that delivers healthy and delicious meals to our local schools.

This is my dream job: I love kids and I love cooking. I have a B.A. in elementary education and teaching experience in Europe, South America and the U.S.  I am fluent in Spanish, and have a deep background in athletics. I am committed to using my skills and life experience to help give kids a healthy start in life.

While in college, and later as a substitute teacher in the Anchorage School District, I gained extensive experience as a chef and event manager. I have catered every imaginable sort of occasion, but there has never been one I was more excited about than this opportunity to bring delicious, nutritious lunches to our local kids!
